Hello,

I've added some basic documentation and a generic Transifex Client config to a page on my site for those who would like the info. It's really basic in nature right now and can always be improved. Feel free to leave comments on the page on my site or reply to this thread with questions, comments, or additional tips and tricks.

Hi micker - and welcome aboard.

Very pleased to see Flexicontent join!

First of all, make sure the host point at transifex, like:
host = https://www.transifex.com

using the latest 0.8 version of the client you will also need to enter two more main confi items after the lang_map line:
minimum_perc = 50
type = INI

the minimum_perc let you set a value that decide at which percentage of completeness the files will be downloaded. You can set it a 0 and get all, or you could decide that you first want to have files that are at 50% as the above example.

For the last part where the individual resource files are listed, you should also change the /path/to/ to reflect where at your local system the file is.

Maybe you have the language files in a folder /flexi, and have a /admin and a /site subfolders there.
Then when you place the client in the /flexi folder, your above exmaple would be as follows:

[flexi.en-GB.com_flexicontent]
file_filter = admin/<lang>/<lang>.com_flexicontent.ini
source_file = admin/en-GB/en-GB.com_flexicontent.ini
source_lang = en_GB

If it is sill not clear, then please ask :)

some error if i do a

tx pull

valueError : too many value to unpack

..
other idea ?

Link to this post 13 Nov 12

As mentioned in the other thread, you currently use another source language at the transifex site 'en', where it infact should be 'en-GB'.

Might be that basis difference that create some hickups.

Try start over with the correct locale :)

Link to this post 14 Nov 12

sorry my english is soo poor ... some time it difficult to understand lol
how to convert flexicontent project to en-GB ?
i realy need to restart all ressources ?
thanks for your help

Link to this post 14 Nov 12

Hey Micker,
Here is the thing. Your resources have a dot (.) in the name - which is perfectly fine actually, but unfortunately the transifex client can't handle those.
The tx client can't also work with categorisation...

You have 2 options - wait for tx to fix the client (which they are already working on as far as I know) or you can rename your resources.
instead of en-GB.com_flexicontent -> rename it to
com_flexicontent_admin
com_flexicontent_frontend
com_flexicontent_sys
etc...

Then change your resource name to
[flexi.com_flexicontent_admin]
and it should properly pull the necessary files.

Kind regards,
Daniel

Link to this post 14 Nov 12

Actually I just realized something. You are also not allowed to have dots in the resource slug as well. Resource title can have a dot, but not the slug.
Look at the url:
https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/flexi/resource/en-gbcom_flexicontent/

Your resource slug is en-gbcom_flexicontent and not en-GB.com_flexicontent.

so actually there is nothing that tx should fix in the client - you should just fix your config.

Regards,
Daniel

Link to this post 14 Nov 12

ok i understand (i didn't start this project ..lol i need to learn !)
slug modification is needed ?
my slug actualy : en-gbcom_flexicontentsys => en-gb_com_flexicontent_sys it's better ?
my name after modification: com_flexicontent_sys => it's good ?
regards

Link to this post 14 Nov 12

As far as I can see you actually don't need to change anything in the project. Just get the correct slug name. click on each resource and look at the url -> the part after resources/ is the correct resouce slug.

Daniel
